Series: The Dark Crystal Character: Fizzgig Made by: Lisa Made: 2004 Events attended: Swancon 2004 (and other Swancons) Status: Complete Easiest Aspect: The feet, though you never see them! Hardest Aspect: The inside of the mouth was pretty tricky. Contruction Notes: This was made to go along with a Kira costume, which never ended up being made. He's actually a puppet, though people never realise this until they see a huge mouth full of teeth. Seeing people's reactions is fantasticly amusing! He's also absolutely fascinating to little kids; I had a small group of children come up to pet him once, and one of them honestly said "Is he real?" The frame is made of chicken wire and paper mache, over which I sewed and glued on the fur. The teeth are made from plastic from an icecream container, and the tongue from pleather. The teeth are actually pretty sharp!
