Meaning:	(Kanji) Grandson, Enlightenment, Sky. Goten's name has almost the same meaning as Gokuu's, but last symbol in Gokuu's name means 'air' or 'space' rather than sky.

Abilities:	Kamehameha: Ki energy that is concentrated into a blast. Goten usually mis-pronounces it as "Kamekameha". Fusion: A dance performed by Goten and Trunks that allows the two to 'fuse' into a single, more powerful being  called Gotenks. Flying (Bukujutsu): Levitation by use of ki control. Totsugekki: Goten's signature move. It involves him flying high into the air, then suddenly diving head-first towards his opponent.

Interesting:	Goten was able to go Super Saiyajin without much training (probably because nobody told him it was supposed to be difficult). If Goten were more interested in training than getting a girlfriend, I think he could easily be stronger than Goku.
Little-Known Fact:	Goten either has very good eyesight or is super-observant. He tends to be good at spotting people he's seen before, or anything out of place. Watch for it, it's true.

Background:	Goten was born a few months after the Cell games, and was raised by Chi-Chi and Gohan. He's best friends with Trunks, and if the small amount of animation at the end of Movie 11's anything to go by, they'd known each other since they were toddlers.  Unlike Gohan, Goten was taught to fight at a fairly early age by Chi-Chi, and while playing with Trunks learnt how to go Super Saiyajin. Goten acts very much like a young Gokuu; he loves food, he loves fighting, is cute and innocent, and generally air-headed (though not quite as bad as Gokuu was, having not lived alone in a shack in the middle of nowhere for most of his life). He's good with animals, but perhaps hasn't got the idea with the big dinosaurs... uh yeah.
